Opposition to the SAVE Act (H.R. 22 / S. 128)

To: Rep. Walberg, Sen. Slotkin, Sen. Peters, Pres. Trump

From: A verified voter in Adrian, MI

February 23

urge you to oppose the SAVE Act, which would impose unnecessary barriers to voter registration by requiring a passport or birth certificate for registration along with in-person registration. Millions of eligible voters do not have easy access to these documents, and the in-person registration requirement would be especially burdensome for people with disabilities and military members serving abroad. This bill would disenfranchise countless voters, particularly women, seniors, and low-income citizens, without any real evidence of widespread voter fraud. Such restrictive measures only serve to limit access to the ballot rather than enhance election integrity. Voting is a fundamental right, and policies should focus on expanding access rather than creating obstacles. Please vote against the SAVE Act to ensure that all eligible citizens can participate in the democratic process.
