First, I understand that Trump wants Congress to pass $350 billion more in funding for the Pentagon via a reconciliation bill. He also wants to use that bill to enact the SAVE America Act. I’m livid about it. Literally half of the country is having trouble affording basics, like gas and groceries. Nobody wants more funding for war. We want affordable healthcare. We want help with our utility bills. We want to be able to buy food. Trump doesn’t care about us, but Congress should. Vote no. Also, I am deeply disturbed that two National Guard members have shot and killed a Black man in Memphis. We need a transparent investigation into this shooting, and Trump’s so-called “crime-fighting task force” must be disbanded. The National Guard should not be doing everyday law enforcement! Please ask the Senator/Congressmember to make a statement calling for this task force’s disbandment. Lastly, oppose any section of the NDAA that integrates our military with Israel's in any way. No foreign country should have that kind of access to our data, weapons, or money, especially a country who is committing so many atrocities. As a veteran this is extremely disturbing and I'm watching this issue very closely.
