NO to KOSA

To: Sen. Britt, Sen. Tuberville, Rep. Figures

From: A verified voter in Mobile, AL

June 18

I urge you to oppose any version of the Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA) or similar legislation that would require consenting adults to provide government-issued identification or undergo age verification to access lawful online content. While protecting children is an important objective, forcing adults to surrender sensitive personal information to private websites is an unnecessary invasion of privacy that creates risks of data breaches, identity theft, and censorship. Many Americans depend on online anonymity for legitimate reasons, including personal safety and free expression. Please support solutions that protect minors without undermining the privacy and constitutional rights of law-abiding adults.
