I'm writing to you to ask you to demand the release of Ras Baraka, the mayor of Newark, from detention by ICE. This is a five alarm fire -- the Trump administration is using ICE to stomp on our rights and now they have arrested a sitting official. They are refusing to state where he is being held. You need to be out and demanding his release, or organizing a mass movement to stop these fascist actions. They hide their faces, refuse to share warrants, and drag people off the street -- what are you waiting for? Now is the time to do something!
