The recent revelations regarding Secretary Hegseth's reckless decision to unilaterally halt military aid to Ukraine are deeply concerning. Cutting off critical supplies without consulting senior officials or informing the President not only caused chaos and confusion among our international partners, but potentially jeopardized Ukraine's ability to defend itself against Russian aggression. Such unilateral actions that undermine longstanding U.S. policy priorities are unacceptable from a Cabinet member entrusted with managing our national defense. Furthermore, the pattern of security breaches, nepotism, and reported paranoia within Hegseth's inner circle raises serious doubts about his ability to effectively lead the Department of Defense. As the nation's chief defense official, he must be held to the highest standards of competence, judgment and integrity. The mounting scandals surrounding Secretary Hegseth indicate he has fallen severely short of these standards. For the sake of national security interests and faith in civilian leadership of the military, I urge you to support calls for Hegseth's removal from office. The United States cannot afford such destabilizing turmoil and dereliction of duty at the Pentagon during this pivotal time. Responsible leadership committed to advancing America's strategic interests must be restored without delay.
