Please stand firm in opposition to the “One Big Beautiful Bill” sent your way by the House of Representatives. I am strongly opposed to funding massive tax cuts for the rich through cuts in social support for the poor and significantly increasing our national debt. This bill is — to quote a former top advisor to President Trump — a “disgusting abomination”. The provisions in this huge bill are outrageously bad in ways large and small, in so many ways that it’s impossible to list them all. The changes related to clean energy policy are particularly bad. Moreover, the bill fails to satisfy the requirements for “reconciliation” passage, so it’s a no-go even on its own terms. Please support your constituents and vote against this bill.
