Oppose any nuclear strike on Iran, and reject pressure from foreign leaders to drag the United States into a catastrophic war. Tucker Carlson reported this week that the Trump administration may be days away from authorizing a nuclear strike on Pickax Mountain in central Iran, allegedly at the urging of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Trump himself said on October 16, "I wouldn't use nuclear. We don't have to." That position must hold.
A nuclear strike on Iranian soil would not be a contained military operation. Carlson warned that radioactive fallout could spread across the Persian Gulf, threatening water supplies for roughly 100 million people. Beyond the immediate destruction, it would set a precedent that Russia, Pakistan, India, and North Korea could follow. As Carlson put it, "After the first nuclear strike, World War Three is inevitable."
Diplomacy is still on the table. Vice President Vance and envoy Steve Witkoff are reportedly arguing that a negotiated settlement with Iran remains possible. That path must be pursued. No foreign government's political crisis should push America into a nuclear first strike with consequences this severe.
