Senator Chris Murphy has introduced the No Political Enemies (NoPE) Act, which would make it illegal for the president to use the government’s power to persecute private citizens. It’s unfortunate that such an act is necessary, but here we are. I expect that Michigan’s congressional delegation will stand together in support of this legislation, which protects the people from government overreach. Thank you.
