How do you feel about this? Two firefighters working to contain the Bear Gulch fire in Washington were arrested by Border Patrol agents, according to a report from The Seattle Times. Witnesses said agents arrived Wednesday morning wearing vests labeled “Police,” lined up the fire crew for identification checks, and took the two men without allowing them to say goodbye. Fellow firefighters, speaking on condition of anonymity, described the arrests as both shocking and disruptive during an active wildfire response. The Bear Gulch fire, currently the largest in the state, has burned nearly 9,000 acres and is only 13% contained. Crews are now battling the growing fire with fewer personnel. “You risk your life out here to save the community,” one firefighter said. “This is how they treat us.” Why are you not stopped this stupidity?You are allowing ICE to arrest green card holders, legal residents, and anyone else they can to meet their horrible quotas. Do something to stop ICE it’s out of control speeches condemning it are not enough, you must actually do something. At the very least get the firefighters released.
