Clear-cutting large swaths puts biodiversity, soil quality, and water sources in jeopardy. I urge you to reconsider this reckless directive. Prioritizing short-term commercial interests over long-term environmental protection is incredibly short-sighted. Our national forests are a shared resource that must be preserved for future generations. Please reverse course and strengthen, not weaken, the safeguards protecting America's natural heritage.
