Back to Work Now.

To: Sen. Duckworth, Rep. Schakowsky, Sen. Durbin

From: A constituent in Chicago, IL

November 6

The work starts today. It should have started decades ago, but here we are. I don't care if you are retiring or returning, you owe your livelihoods and futures to the American people, and you owe them your efforts now. You must immediately start repairing the damage that has been done to our democracy and our human rights. You must re-arm the voting rights act and enshrine it under the strongest possible protections. You must codify reproductive rights into law. You must codify marriage rights into law. You must expand and protect social security and Medicaid. You must dismantle and prosecute all of the leadership structures that allowed this to happen. People say they want another Nuremberg. I want you to go farther than Nuremberg. In Nuremberg they only managed to charge a few dozen of the actual leaders. Mostly they prosecuted henchmen and lackeys. You MUST go after that ACTUAL architects of this plan, or we will simply continue to repeat this dance with fascists every hundred years or so. If you don't believe me, READ THE HISTORY OF EUROPE.
