As a constituent of Massachusetts and a concerned taxpayer, I am writing to express deep frustration with the federal government’s spending priorities. I contribute a significant portion of my income in taxes, and yet I see a troubling imbalance in where that money goes. While local and state funds often go to support critical services such as public education, my federal tax dollars are disproportionately directed toward areas such as military spending, subsidies to large corporations, and bureaucracy—while schools struggle to meet basic needs.
I urge you, as my elected representative, to fight for a budget that reflects the values and future of this country—by dramatically increasing investment in public education, early childhood programs, and community schools. The foundation of a healthy, democratic society begins with an informed and educated citizenry.
I am not asking for special treatment or exemption from taxes—I am demanding that my voice as a taxpayer be heard and that my money support what truly matters.
