Condemn Federal Interference in State Election Systems

To: Rep. McDonald Rivet, Sen. Peters, Sen. Slotkin

From: A verified voter in Auburn, MI

September 16

Publicly condemn the Trump administration's attempts to nationalize our elections and take every action available to you to stop them. The DOJ has sued more than 20 states for refusing to hand over voter files, the FBI raided Fulton County's election headquarters and seized ballots and voter rolls, and Attorney General Bondi threatened to pull ICE from Minnesota unless the state surrendered sensitive voter registration data. These are not legitimate federal oversight actions. They are coercion. Federal courts have already struck down parts of Trump's executive order requiring proof of citizenship at voter registration, finding the executive branch simply lacks that authority. The administration knows this. They're doing it anyway. A secret national citizenship database is now being used to screen voters, with zero transparency about how that data is used or who gets flagged. Every one of these moves is designed to suppress votes and override state control of elections that the Constitution explicitly protects. I need you on record opposing this — loudly and immediately.
