Block This Merger

To: Sen. Blackburn, Rep. Van Epps, Sen. Hagerty, Pres. Trump

From: A constituent in Nashville, TN

October 28

Block this merger. The context around this consolidation is unclear, but the pattern is familiar: when large corporations merge, competition shrinks, prices rise, and workers and consumers pay the price. This is not a theoretical concern. Regulators and legislators have every tool needed to stop deals that harm the public interest. A merger that reduces competition in any significant market should face the highest scrutiny, and if it cannot pass that bar, it should be stopped. I expect a firm vote against approval. This is a moment to stand on the side of consumers and workers, not corporate consolidation. I will be watching this vote closely.
