oppose Trump’s administrative coup
To: Sen. Welch, Sen. Sanders

Given the ongoing administrative coup and democratic demolition perpetrated by President Trump and unelected billionaire Elon Musk, it seems like the best course of action would be to dig in and slow down their advances through any possible means. However, the Senate has been promptly confirming a host of unqualified appointees to key government positions. What’s going on here? Senator Welch, you’ve paid lip service to opposition, but voted yes on more Trump nominees than almost any other Democrat in the Senate. I appreciate you holding the floor against Russel Vought, but do NOT appreciate your support for Chris Wright to DoE, Sean Duffy to DoT, Scott Turner to HUD, or *especially* Doug Burgum as Secretary of the Interior. Even though many folks aren’t out protesting in the streets, we are absolutely following what’s happening in Congress. So far, the actions taken by Congressional Democrats has been insufficient and uninspiring. I am asking you to do more: to oppose actions by the Trump Administration that are illegal and/or unconstitutional, and to avoid a failed strategy of appeasement. Donald Trump has proven over and over again that he can’t be appeased, he can only be distracted or impeded. Americans are — America is — depending on you.
