You need to understand what you're participating in. The 851 anti-trans bills filed in 2025 and 740 already filed in 2026 aren't culture war politics. They're social murder, the systematic creation of conditions that make life unlivable until death becomes inevitable. A September 2024 Nature Human Behaviour study tracking 61,240 transgender youth over five years found that state anti-trans laws caused a 7% to 72% increase in suicide attempts, with the sharpest increases among those under 18. This is a causal relationship, not correlation. CDC research confirmed that as anti-trans bills increase in a state, suicide attempts rise among both trans and non-trans youth. The American Medical Association, American Academy of Pediatrics, and American Psychological Association have told you repeatedly that restricting gender-affirming care increases suicidality. Kentucky State Senator Karen Berg's transgender son died by suicide in December 2022. Her colleagues consoled her, then voted 29-6 to pass SB 150 restricting transgender youth rights. The federal government eliminated the LGBTQ youth option on the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline while implementing policies driving trans people toward suicide.
