The Department of Justice must fully and transparently cooperate with Congress's investigation into credible allegations that Donald Trump illegally accepted $10 million from the Egyptian government during the 2016 presidential campaign in exchange for policy favors. Reports indicate the Trump DOJ obstructed its own criminal probe into these potentially serious crimes against America. As representatives of the people, we demand the truth is uncovered and wrongdoing exposed, no matter how high it reaches. The American public deserves accountability and assurance that our nation's highest office was not directly compromised by bribery from a repressive regime seeking to subvert U.S. interests. Any attempt at a coverup or quashing of this investigation is an assault on democracy itself. All relevant information must be provided to Congress without delay so we can determine if laws were broken and protect the integrity of our elections going forward.
