That oath demands that you uphold democracy, protect the vulnerable, and defend this nation against threats, both foreign and domestic. Yet, what we are witnessing is not leadership, but complicity. The reckless destruction of government institutions, the gutting of essential programs like Medicare, Medicaid, and SNAP, and the blatant dismantling of ethical oversight are not the actions of a government "for the people." They are the calculated maneuvers of an administration beholden to oligarchs, corporations, and self-interest.
