$5.6 Trillion on the Table—But GOP MAGA Picks Cruelty Over Common Sense

If you really want to fix the budget, here’s an easy, common-sense plan: 1. Let the 2017 tax cuts expire. • They were never paid for. • Keeping them will cost $4.5 TRILLION over 10 years. • That’s most of the reason you’re raising the debt ceiling right now. 2. Stop deporting tax-paying immigrants. • Undocumented workers with ITINs pay $60 BILLION/year in federal taxes. • They don’t get benefits, but they still pay in. • Kicking them out would cost over $1 TRILLION in lost revenue and enforcement costs. Total savings = $5.6 TRILLION That’s more than enough to cover the debt you’re worried about—without cutting Medicare, Medicaid, or anything working families rely on. This isn’t hard. It’s basic math. • Keep the revenue. • Stop wasting money. • Don’t punish people who are helping the system. Please do the right thing—and stop making things worse.
