“No Kings”, Indiana: 47,700 Protestors Strong

To: Pres. Trump, Sen. Banks, Rep. Mrvan, Sen. Young

June 16

Dear federal elected officials. I’m just making sure you saw the update from the “No Kings” protests over the weekend! What a display of unity…. Unity against federal government o reach. Right here in Indiana, where all our statewide elections are won by Republicans for some time now, 47,700 people showed up to protest. 47,700 people from this deeply red state gave up their weekend, their time, their energy, their voices and their art supplies to demonstrate against President Trumps horrifying anti-Constitutional actions. We don’t want our money being spent on his birthday parade. We don’t want our trusted neighbors, kids that go to school with our kids, rounded up gestapo style. We want people willing to work long hours in the fields picking vegetables for low pay to be allowed to do so if they choose. I’m a farmers’ daughter who worked hard on the farm for decades. Why is ICE allowed to arrest people not wearing uniforms, and having no ID? Why are they stalking ppl coming to court hearings? Why on earth was the National Guard sent into LA? Even the LAPD, a notoriously conservative organization, said there was nearly no problems and no violence and they didn’t need any help, let alone National Guard and Marines. Why are military sleeping on floors and having no comforts and goods for a non-existent problem. Why did Obama and Biden manage to average more deportations a day and yet have far, far fewer horror stories and ripping apart of families. These aren’t criminals. Stop ripping families apart. Just wanted to make sure you saw how many Hoosiers showed up to demand…. “No Kings!”
