Have you three (Mackensei, McCormick and Fetterman) been paying attention to the stream of news flashes over the past few days? • SCOTUS awakens from a decades-long slumber and FINALLY acknowledges that the CONSTITUTION clearly assigns raising revenue to the Legislative Branch (NOT the Executive Branch) and declares tRump’s world-wide tariff tirade unconstitutional.  Good job, SCOTUS!  Too bad it was only 6 to 3.  We may need remedial reading classes for SCOTUS Justices IF we still have a Department of Education. • tRump throws a tariff tantrum accusing the six Justice majority of being unduly influenced by foreign actors and falling victim of poor genetics and DemonRat contamination while simultaneously applauding the 3 Justice minority for somehow misinterpreting abundantly clear Constitutional words.  Even though the SCOTUS majority had just decided that the tRump tariffs are unconstitutional AND the SCOTUS minority offered a tantalizing tidbit of exactly HOW POTUS can STILL achieve his illegal and misguided tariffs, tRump responds by imposing the minority’s workaround as an ADDITION to the majority’s declaration of the existing tariffs as illegal. I believe this is a CLASSIC example of one branch of our 3 co-equal government segments ignoring a specific Constitutionally mandated check and balance AND extending the illegality beyond the point that had just been declared UNCONSTITUTIONAL by SCOTUS. I admit that the Founding Fathers were remiss in not providing more explicit definitions of High Crimes and Misdemeanors in Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution, but we can charitably attribute their omission on a logical belief that Congress would attribute any ambiguity to the age-old definition of pornography (I’ll know it when I see it).  Obviously a naive assumption by the guys wearing wigs. So now I am left needing to ask my elected officials to each provide me with THEIR interpretation of HOW this is NOT a High Crime and Misdemeanor?  tRump has already publicly stated that his reading (?) of the Constitution actually does provide tariff authority to the Presidency despite what it says about Congress’ sole authority to raise revenue.  I don’t see it, but I suppose this is precisely why the Founding Fathers intended the upper chamber of Congress to be populated with (White) land-owning MEN who could be expected to be intellectually superior to the lower chamber.  I do NOT expect finger-pointing from one element of our bicameral legislation to the other, nor do I expect any partisan attacks given the majority enjoyed by Republicans in BOTH elected elements of our Republic (and a substantial case can be made that our third co-equal branch has been contaminated by tRump’s thumb on the scale of SCOTUS Justices). Just an explanation from each member of Congress to explain their inaction of filing and passing Articles of Impeachment against tRump AND the subsequent trial and conviction in the Senate.   Simple.  WHY?
