Trump’s recent call to “nationalize elections” is a grave threat that must be taken seriously. The mere mention of this unconstitutional act should be immediate grounds for impeachment, conviction, and removal. The President has routinely undermined our free & fair elections, our trust in democracy, and state sovereignty & jurisdiction. We are not a unitary system for precisely this reason. States have authority over elections and Congress must reassert this authority immediately. Congress must not only condemn the president and his administration for this unconstitutional and dangerous language but take immediate action to ensure it can never come to fruition. Uphold the Constitution. Uphold our Federal Republic. End the charade.
