Kids Online Safety Act

To: Rep. Moulton, Sen. Warren, Sen. Markey

From: A constituent in Peabody, MA

July 28

Hello, I am writing to you now to inform you of my great displeasure with the “Kids Online Safety Act”, this bill is, to put it bluntly, a bill that would censor the internet in the USA, it would require verification ID in order to visit adult sites. While this may seem like a way to protect children, that is simply a way for those proposing this bill to make it so those who stand against it are unable to gain ground. This bill is a means of control, it is a way for the government and other entities (most commonly corporations) to gather our data. To put it bluntly it crosses a line, yes it may censor the more adult side of the Internet for “protection” of the children, but where do you cross the line for what is and isn’t considered “adult”? I don’t want this bill passed, and I’m asking you to please VOTE NO!
