Israel's use of Palestinian children as human shields during military operations is an egregious violation of international humanitarian law and a grave breach of the Fourth Geneva Convention. The report by Defense for Children International-Palestine provides disturbing accounts of Israel forces abducting, torturing, and exploiting Palestinian children, stripping them naked, binding their hands, and forcing them to walk in front of tanks and military vehicles. Such practices constitute war crimes and cannot be tolerated or excused under any circumstances. To hold Israel accountable and deter further atrocities against children, it is imperative to impose a comprehensive arms embargo on Israel. Allowing Israel to continue acquiring USA weapons and military equipment only emboldens its forces to perpetrate human rights abuses with impunity at the cost of American taxpayers. Cutting off the USA supply of arms is not only morally correct but also would save the USA billions of dollars preventing our national debt from becoming even more bloated. The evidence presented in the report, including eyewitness testimonies and documented cases, leaves no doubt that Israel is systematically violating the rights of Palestinian children. The Center for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR) found in a poll that the majority of Americans want an arms embargo on Israel.
