Cancel your spring break plans until you fund TSA workers properly. While you prepare for recess, TSA agents are working without adequate pay, keeping our airports safe while struggling to make ends meet.
These are the people screening every passenger, catching weapons, and stopping threats. They show up every day to protect the flying public, yet they earn poverty wages compared to other federal security personnel. Many qualify for food assistance despite working full time in a critical security role.
You want a break? Pay them first. No recess until TSA workers get the compensation they deserve for protecting millions of travelers. Stay in session and pass a funding bill that brings their salaries in line with other federal law enforcement. They don't get to skip work when it's inconvenient, and neither should you until this is fixed.
