Block the USPS Mail Ballot Rule That Would Disenfranchise Washington Voters

Block the new USPS rule that would let the federal government hold Washington's mail ballots hostage. Postmaster General David Steiner confirmed under oath that USPS will refuse to deliver mail ballots to states that don't hand over their voter lists to the Trump administration. That is not a policy disagreement — that is coercion, and it is an attack on Washington voters. States control voter registration under the U.S. Constitution. This rule is a back-door attempt to strip that authority away by weaponizing mail delivery. Sen. Margaret Hassan called it "blatantly illegal," and a federal judge in Massachusetts has already allowed legal challenges to proceed, finding it would directly harm states' ability to run November elections. The courts are pushing back — you need to as well. Demand that USPS immediately withdraw this proposed regulation. Use every legislative tool available to block its implementation. Washington voters deserve to cast their ballots without the federal government using the postal service as leverage against our state.
