I’m writing to express my grave concern about the chaos taking place at the federal level. I believe it is imperative for state legislatures to raise the alarm and take steps to protect their constituents. I have written to Governor Hochul’s office to ask that she take a series of actions to help stop the administrative coup by Elon Musk and Donald Trump. Please use your power and influence to bring these actions to fruition alongside the governor. Those actions are as follows: Immediately organize a coalition of Democrat Governors to coordinate emergency action against this federal overreach. Specifically: Form the Blue-State Emergency Coalition - Democrat-led states must unite in a coordinated legal, financial, and governmental response to resist unconstitutional actions. Declare a State of Emergency - Governors must prepare to invoke emergency powers if necessary to protect residents and state resources from unlawful federal interference. Refuse Cooperation with Unlawful Federal Directives - State agencies must decline participation in unconstitutional federal actions and prevent state resources from being misused.
