Instead of entertaining harmful cuts, we should be exploring ways to bolster Social Security's long-term solvency through reasonable measures like raising or eliminating the payroll tax cap for high-income earners. Slashing benefits or making it harder for eligible recipients to access their earned payments is unacceptable.
