Far from eradicating bias, this executive order unconstitutionally establishes Christianity as an official state religion in violation of the First Amendment's Establishment Clause. By singling out Christianity for preferential treatment and protection, the order disregards the foundational principle of separation of church and state enshrined in the Constitution. It is deeply concerning that the order directs federal agencies to revoke policies and take remedial actions to advance this patently unconstitutional agenda of favoring one religion over others. Protecting religious freedom means upholding the rights of all Americans to freely exercise their faith or choose not to, not privileging any particular religion through the machinery of government. This misguided order undermines our nation's founding ideals of religious pluralism and tolerance. As a solution, I urge the immediate rescission of this executive order to reaffirm the secular nature of our government and the fundamental rights of religious freedom and equality for all.
