Trump's misguided trade policies and tariffs have proven disastrous for American workers and businesses. UPS, a major employer, was forced to make significant job cuts directly due to the higher costs imposed by tariffs on goods from China and other trade partners. These reckless actions reflect a fundamental lack of understanding about how global supply chains and trade actually function. Rather than reviving American manufacturing as promised, tariffs have hamstrung companies, destroyed jobs, raised costs for consumers, and alienated longstanding U.S. allies. A course correction is urgently needed to restore stability, cultivate partnerships, and pursue fact-based policies that create economic opportunity instead of undermining it.
