So let me get this straight. Your administration detained a man who’s lived here legally for over a decade—during his citizenship interview—because of a paperwork error from 2015, which happened while he and his wife were grieving the death of their child?
Kasper Eriksen has now been in ICE custody for over a month—since April 15, 2025—locked in a cockroach-infested detention center in Louisiana. All because your government decided that the appropriate response to a grieving father’s paperwork delay was indefinite detention.
And let’s ask the obvious: If the paperwork error happened in 2015, why wasn’t he detained or deported during your first term? What changed? Did the standards shift—or is this just your administration trying to boost numbers by targeting the low-hanging fruit of lawful immigrants?
Are you really detaining Danish dads now because Denmark won’t sell you Greenland? Or because those “hardened criminals” you keep ranting about are a little harder to find than you expected? Is this just about optics? Hmmm.
Because from the outside, it looks like you’ve turned personal tragedy into political theater—weaponizing grief to pad your stats or negotiate real estate.
You didn’t protect anyone. You humiliated a family. You tore a father from his children. You turned the Department of Homeland Security into a junior high bully with a badge.
This government is a bad joke with terrifying power. We were promised leadership. We got gossip, tantrums, and trauma dressed up as policy.
Grow up. This is supposed to be a government—not a revenge tour with executive power and an ego problem.
