The United States is contributing to the subjugation and displacement of Palestinians through its provision of overwhelming military aid to Israel and legislation enabling the occupation of Palestinian territories. By accepting money from pro-Israel lobbying groups and voting to supply Israel with additional weapons and resources, American legislators are complicit in the violent repression, human rights violations, and systematic erasure of Palestinian communities and identity. To properly address this grave injustice, the US government must cease all financial ties to pro-Israel political action committees, end the flow of arms and military assistance enabling the occupation, and leverage its global influence to hold Israel accountable to international laws and human rights norms that prohibit the ethnic cleansing of indigenous populations.
