The targeting of Kamal Adwan Hospital by Israel strikes is an unconscionable violation of international humanitarian law. Injuring staff and patients and
depriving the hospital of vital utilities like water, electricity, and oxygen supplies has rendered it unable to provide essential medical care, putting countless lives at risk. The targeting of civilian infrastructure constitutes a war crime and cannot be tolerated.
Munir Al-Barsh, the Director General of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, confirmed on Saturday that Israel forces targeted the hospital’s electricity generators, setting them on fire and cutting off power.
The rights and lives of civilians in Gaza must be protected through accountability for these egregious warcrimes.
