I’m writing in regards to H.R. 59: https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/house-resolution/59/text Is this really the best use of time and tax dollars? An ordained clergy member preached in her own church about the teachings of Jesus Christ. (Jesus, the one who sat with sinners, healed sick, broke bread with prostitutes, hung out with lepers, and explicitly stated that we should love everyone, that whatever we do to the least of the brothers and sisters we do to him.) She called upon our newly elected leader to show mercy to others. None of what Rev. Budde stated was in opposition to the Gospel. She did exactly what the Bible and her calling expects her to do. H.R. 59 is shameful and does not hold with the values of this nation nor those of the Christian faith as commanded in the Bible.
