I am writing as your constituent in deep alarm and outrage.
ICE has now shot and killed a 37-year-old U.S. citizen in Minnesota. This is horrifying. It is unacceptable in a democracy, and it cannot be brushed aside as an “incident” or a “mistake.” Federal agents killing American citizens in our communities is a line that cannot be crossed.
ICE is no longer functioning as an immigration enforcement agency. It is being used as a blunt instrument to inflict fear and pain. This is not immigration policy — it is state violence.
I am demanding immediate action:
• Remove ICE operations from our cities
• Defund ICE
• Hold leadership accountable for the use of lethal force
• Publicly oppose the President’s use of ICE as a political weapon
The President is using ICE to destabilize communities, bypass accountability, and normalize brutality. If Congress does not act now, this will only escalate. Silence or delay makes you complicit.
History will remember who stood up and who stayed quiet while federal agents turned their weapons on the public. I expect you to act, loudly and immediately, to stop this abuse of power and protect the people you represent.
Our country is being pushed toward something dangerous. Stop it now.
