Ceasefire and Aid Urgently Needed in Gaza Conflict

To: Rep. Courtney, Sen. Blumenthal, Sen. Murphy, Pres. Biden

From: A constituent in East Hampton, CT

April 13

The recent legislation in Israel, which bans foreign news outlets under the guise of national security, raises serious concerns about freedom of speech. This, along with the ongoing conflict in Gaza, where Israel has defied a United Nations order to stop blocking urgent humanitarian aid, necessitates immediate action. The conflict has resulted in thousands of deaths, with more than a quarter of the population on the brink of starvation. It is crucial to demand an immediate ceasefire, halt the supply of arms and funding to Israel, and reinstate funding for UNRWA. These steps are essential to prevent further devastation and uphold human rights.
