If the federal government is not going to disburse my tax dollars to agencies like the NIH in accordance with the law and Congressional appropriations, then I demand a refund of the portion being improperly withheld or reallocated. Obstructing scientific research that has already undergone rigorous peer review and been allocated funding violates the will of Congress and the public trust. Either follow the laws and court orders regarding federal spending or return my tax money that is being misused for political purposes.
