This country's President's treatment of Preisdent Zelenskyy was absolutely shameful today. It was obviously orchestrated to try to distance the United States from our NATO, European, and Ukranian allies. It was obviously orchestrated to further ingratiate President Trump into Putin's good graces.
I'm calling on you to stand up and call out this behavior as unacceptable by any President of the United States. Your oath is to the Constitution, not to this coward of a man berating another country's President and our ally on internationally broadcast television.
I also ask you to stand with your colleagues to demand immediate House and Senate investigations into the Department of Defense's orders to Cyber Command to stand down on all Russian missions, actions, and planning (see https://therecord.media/hegseth-orders-cyber-command-stand-down-russia-planning). This order stands to dramatically harm our allies and our own citizens.
I am disturbed by the direction and rhetoric of the administration regarding Ukraine. We are about to make the most disastrous mistake since the Iraq War. America and its allies are being targeted by a ruthless alliance of China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea. They are attacking Ukraine and working together to weaken the United States. This course is not good for America, not good for our people, and not good for me. America needs to remain the leader of free nations. I ask that you speak out publicly against undermining our allies and that you stand with Ukraine and freedom loving Americans and Veterans like me.
