Ceasefire negotiations between Israel and Hamas must resume immediately to address the dire humanitarian crisis unfolding in Gaza. Scores of Palestinians, including children, have succumbed to starvation while aid remains desperately insufficient. With many Gazans resembling "walking corpses" according to the United Nations, further delays in allowing substantial humanitarian relief could prove catastrophic. A deal to lift the blockade and restore the full flow of food, clean water, and medical supplies is imperative to prevent mass casualties. The international community must urge the parties to return to the negotiating table with urgency and make the concessions necessary for a ceasefire that ends this man-made humanitarian disaster. Preventing the impending famine in Gaza and securing the release of remaining hostages should be the utmost priority.
