The total incompetence and the desire of this administration to hurt every day Americans and dismantle programs that promote important research and science and protect the most vulnerable populations is infuriating and unacceptable. It’s full-blown cruelty. Gutting federal departments and policies, like the FDA, Head Start, and CDC, will have far reaching and long-term negative consequences—Americans will die. Also, people worked for Social Security benefits. It is not a Ponzi scheme. Stop the gaslighting by billionaires, no less. And enough is enough. Get rid of Elon Musk and the completely unethical DOGE. Stop the dismantling the democracy. Federal judges ruling based on law and human rights should be followed. How is the deporting of a citizen acceptable? The willful ignorance of the White House to quash anything that doesn’t align with racism or xenophobia or sexism or so-called control is not what the founding fathers intended AND surely not what any current democratic country should be aiming for. This is the total return of authoritarianism, American 21st-century edition. Executive orders and threats are not how to govern either. White and wealthy, the only two qualities Republicans, Trump, and Musk care about so they can line their pockets, give tax breaks to billionaires, and destroy the democracy, as well as tank the economy. It’s appalling. I hope that Republicans can find a backbone and Democrats can band together to prevent further destruction. Where is the bridge too far? I think we crossed it years ago, but it’s exhausting becoming a global pariah and worrying each what new collateral damage will affect communities and states, all thanks to this terrible administration.
