Yes As a mother of triplets who were lead poisoned by our old home, I am horrified beyond words at the clashing of the resources to combat lead poisoning at the CDC and the HHS. Horrified beyond words, yet still I must find words to fight. Without these resources, thousands of children who are exposed to this dangerous neurotoxin will go undiagnosed. When diagnosed, they will be left without resources to help remove the lead, which is the only way to prevent against further, even deadly, damage. Without resources, they will not be able to address the symptoms that are changing their lives for the worse—the GI distress, the joint pain, the sleeplessness, and more. Of all the things to defund, lead poisoning resources aren’t it! Stand up for our children and fight back.
