As of now 11:24am et, we don’t know how many children were shot at the school in Minnesota. I hope I don’t hear anyone say there are no laws that could prevent these shootings. I hope no one says that today is not the proper day to talk about gun control. Today, tomorrow, and every day forward is the time to talk about universal background checks and longer waiting periods before I could get possession of a rifle after purchasing. No one under 21 can buy beer and should now also not be allowed to own a gun and not carry a gun belonging to a family member unless accompanied by that person when going to target practice or going hunting. What will you and the rest of both houses of Congress do to start better gun control?
