The forests of America are natural treasures that should be preserved for future generations. Authorizing widespread logging and overriding environmental protections poses grave risks to delicate ecosystems and endangered species that call these woodlands home. Increasing timber production may serve economic interests in the short term, but at what cost to our shared natural heritage? We must stop this order. Rampant deforestation will only exacerbate climate change, soil erosion, and habitat loss. As citizens entrusted with stewardship of public lands, we have a duty to protect America's forests from excessive exploitation. I urge you to reconsider this order and instead prioritize sustainable conservation measures that preserve our national forests for centuries to come.
