Trump Renames Lakes While Navy Payroll Runs Dry

August 30

A Lake Cannot Hide a War Does Trump believe renaming Lake Ontario can bury his scandals? It will not erase scrutiny of the Epstein files, a lawsuit alleging that he raped a 13 year old girl or his failure in Iran. Congress never authorized this war. As of August 30, 2026, it had continued for 183 days. American military deaths: 18 American service members injured: More than 750 Other reported deaths: At least 8,000 Other reported injuries: At least 48,000 Latest official direct military cost estimate: $37.5 billion While Trump plays king with a map, the Navy is reportedly reaching into payroll accounts to sustain his war. An unnamed Navy official said: “The money for payroll was ROBBED to pay for overseas contingencies.” Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth warned Congress: “Without these funds, we face critical shortfalls that threaten our ability to also simply pay our service members.” Trump called this a “little excursion.” There is nothing little about 18 DEAD American service members, more than 750 injured, thousands of other casualties, depleted weapons, strained payroll accounts, or a $37.5 billion direct military cost estimate. Renaming a lake cannot rename failure. Congress has turned silence into complicity. End this war. Investigate every diverted dollar. Protect every service member’s pay. Impeach Trump. Restore a government that serves Americans, not a man who believes he is a king.
