I’m writing to thank the you for voting against Republicans’ awful budget resolution last night. I am deeply upset that it passed. Me, my husband and two adult children - as well as two of my siblings and their families- buy our health insurance through the NY State marketplace, thanks to the ACA and the subsidies it provides. Due to pre-existing conditions, we cannot afford private insurance. So the ACA subsidies are incredible important to our ability to receive our healthcare. And I am aware that so many other American are even more vulnerable and I. Greater need to assistance paying for healthcare than my family. Cut the budget as the republican are suggest would create a nation health catastrophe. I am asking you to keep fighting with everything you have to make sure this budget does not ever pass. Americans won’t tolerate losing services and blowing up the deficit so billionaires and corporations can get more tax cuts. We want their taxes to go up, not down. Please fight for that. Thanks.
