10 days in office and Trump has willfully violated the constitution, as he blitzkriegs his way toward a totalitarian dictatorship. The Senate and House have displayed no ability to stop him. Only the courts, several governors, and mayors have managed to slow Trump’s assaults on the constitution and the rule of law. His flunkies on the Supreme Court have handed him full immunity for any actions he takes as president. In addition to civil and human rights rollbacks he’s also attacked consumer protection laws, environmental protection laws and imposed 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico. Impeachment and our system of checks and balances have been useless. Merrick Garland failed miserably in his anemic attempts to hold Trump accountable in the documents case and inciting the J6 insurrection. With control of the House and Senate he reigns with Hitlerian power. The 75 million people that voted for Harris And Walz would like to know your plan to defeat Trump’s assaults on the constitution and the rule of law. Forget the speeches, handwringing and the polite routine. You are engaged in battle with dirty fighters. Are you up to the challenge or do you still think that you can “negotiate with a tiger while your head is its mouth?” The founding fathers worried about the day a corrupt tyrant would attain the presidency. It happened in 2016 and now it’s happened again. As James Madison said, “The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive and judiciary, in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many, and whether hereditary, self-appointed, or elective, may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny.” -Federalist 47 Spare us the double-talk.
