The Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act unfairly targets and discriminates against transgender athletes, denying them equal opportunities based solely on their gender identity. Permitting participation in sports based exclusively on reproductive biology at birth disregards an individual's true gender and perpetuates harmful prejudices. Transgender women are women, and should have the same rights to compete in women's sports as any other woman. This proposed legislation promotes a narrow, outdated view of gender that has no place in an equitable society. Instead of dividing and excluding certain groups, we should be championing policies that bring people together and provide a level playing field for all athletes, regardless of gender identity or expression. I urge you to oppose this discriminatory bill and stand up for the rights and dignity of transgender individuals.
