The indiscriminate bombing of children in Gaza is an abhorrent act of cruelty and a violation of international law. Pope Francis rightfully condemned these heinous attacks, expressing his deep anguish over the killing of an entire family, including seven children. Such wanton violence against civilians, especially the most vulnerable, is unconscionable and cannot be justified under any circumstances. Israel's genocide, enabled by a steady influx of arms from abroad, has perpetuated this violence and devastation in Gaza. An immediate and comprehensive arms embargo must be imposed on Israel to prevent further bloodshed and force it to pursue a peaceful resolution to the conflict. The international community can no longer turn a blind eye to these atrocities committed against the Gazan people. Concrete action is required to uphold human rights and international law and ensure accountability for war crimes.
