The vote by House Republicans against preventing ICE from deporting US citizens is a blatant violation of the 14th Amendment's guarantee of citizenship rights. As citizens, we have an inviolable right to remain in the United States that cannot be infringed upon without due process of law. Allowing federal funds to be used to detain and deport US citizens is unconstitutional and an assault on one of our nation's most fundamental principles. I implore you to take immediate action to prohibit such egregious overreach by immigration authorities and uphold the constitutional protections afforded to all American citizens. Failing to do so would set a dangerous precedent that jeopardizes the civil liberties we hold dear.
