I’m asking you to protect the integrity of all of Pennsylvania’s voters by rejecting redistricting maps that are racially discriminatory. Three states (AL, TN, and LA) have already introduced redistricting legislation that could weaken or eliminate historically black congressional districts ahead of the midterm elections. The Supreme Court’s decision in Louisiana v. Callais has altered a decades-old understanding of the Voting Rights Act, which may result in similar efforts in other states. Please make sure the same doesn’t happen in Pennsylvania.
